Baroness Prosser of Battersea was raised to the peerage in 2004. Previously Deputy Secretary General of the Transport & General Workers Union, Baroness Prosser acted as National Treasurer of the Labour Party from 1996-2001. Her political interests are in the world of work, equalities and equal pay and she has been a Member of the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Low Pay Commission. She was the Deputy Chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission from 2006 - 2012. Baroness Prosser’s geographical interests include the Middle East and the USA.
