IPT Breakfast Meeting

The global market of autonomous systems service applications was recently estimated by a PwC report to reach £102bn by 2025. Research by data analysts at KPMG has also calculated that connected and autonomous vehicles could create an additional 320,000 jobs in the UK by 2030. Data such as this highlights some of the benefits available to the UK in enabling an unmanned future both in the air and on the ground. Today, autonomous systems are already being used to improve and deliver services in our everyday life, providing a springboard for innovation and improvement. This breakfast meeting will:

  • Discover what the opportunities are for the UK economy in catalyzing the use of intelligent autonomous systems
  • Explore the challenges, both culturally and legislatively, of enabling an autonomous future
  • Discuss the importance of creating an ecosystem for these vehicles to operate safely, with a combined approach from Industry, Government and regulators.
