IPT Breakfast Meeting

The World Economic Forum has labelled China the great economic success story of the past 30 years. As one of the world’s largest economies, China is a huge and expanding market for UK businesses. It has therefore been central to the debate around who the UK’s key economic trade partners will be post-Brexit. Strengthening UK operations in this important market remain a priority as the Government looks to create new trade relationships and support continued UK business expansion into global markets. This breakfast meeting will:

  • Consider the opportunities and challenges of the UK’s trade and investment opportunities with China
  • Explore how trade patterns with China have changed over time and identify which key sectors the UK should focus on for future trade negotiations
  • Discuss the Government’s progress for a bilateral agreement with China, along with interim strategies through working groups with key trade partners.
