IPT Breakfast Meeting

Britain has a rich and varied cultural offering, attracting audiences from across the world and contributing almost £10m per hour to the economy. According to the Minister for Digital and Culture, the creative sectors are key to the future of the UK both economically and culturally. However, a recent inquiry by the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee concluded there needs to be greater national co-ordination in lending collections across the UK.  This breakfast meeting will:

  • Explore current and future funding pressures within the cultural sector across the UK
  • Consider how the growth of culture within the tourism economy has helped London and areas across the UK
  • Discuss how the Government can continue to support the creative industries to help job creation and promote wealth through increased exports.
