IPT Dinner Discussion

According to a report by the Department of Health, 50% of UK patients use digital technology to self-diagnose and 75% are going online for health information. As the healthcare industry continues to digitalise, move online or onto mobile digital products, public demand is simultaneously being drawn towards an independent system of healthcare management. The focus therefore remains on how future technology can continue to advance independent healthcare and promote wellbeing. This dinner discussion will:

  • Examine how technological innovations can enable patients to self-manage their own health and social care where possible
  • Explore how to overcome and safeguard against common pitfalls in technology enabled change within healthcare
  • Discuss what areas the Government should focus on to drive digitalised healthcare efficiencies and positive outcomes for both patients and providers.
