IPT Dinner Discussion

Family businesses remain a vital part of economies across the world and generate over a quarter of UK GDP. However, a recent PwC survey identified that only 12% of family businesses reach the third generation. With large proportions of family firms facing challenges and setbacks that often derive from a lack of strategic planning, the focus now lies on how to make a success of succession. This dinner discussion will:

  • Explore the opportunities and challenges family businesses face and the importance of strategic long term planning in a rapidly changing world
  • Discuss what it means to be a sustainable and resilient family business
  • Consider how the Government can support UK family businesses to help secure continued long-term growth.
