The Weatherill Bursary Scheme

The IPT runs a Scheme to provide bursaries for SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) to attend its study programmes for business people.

The Scheme is named in honour of the Rt Hon Lord Weatherill DL (1920-2007), the 154th Speaker of the House of Commons, who was instrumental in the founding of the Industry and Parliament Trust. He was a constant friend of the IPT and a supportive and influential figure throughout its history. He served as Chairman, President and Vice-President of the IPT. Lord Weatherill’s family and friends have contributed to the Scheme, knowing of his passion to encourage the SME sector to engage more with parliamentarians. Please email DaisyCalvert@ipt.org.uk for more information.
