Legislation Virtual Seminar | IPT

A 75-minute seminar hosted on Zoom that provides a thorough examination of the legislative process. It provides an in-depth insight into how both primary and secondary legislation are made. This seminar will be Tuesday 12 July at 1530.


This course aims to provide delegates with a good understanding of how both primary and secondary legislation are made. In particular it will look at:

  • Government Bills and Private Members Bills
  • How bills are drafted and can be influenced
  • The passage of a Bill through Parliament
  • How secondary legislation is made

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for anyone who works in an environment which is related to Parliament and wishes to develop their knowledge of the legislative process.

It is well suited to public servants, academics and those from the voluntary and private sectors who are interested in this particular aspect of the parliamentary process.
