Overview
A comprehensive, half-day seminar designed to help delegates understand the important role Select Committees play in scrutinising the work of the Government. Delegates will hear from expert parliamentary figures such as Chairs, Members, and Committee Clerks about the best way to engage with Select Committees. This seminar will take place on Monday 2nd December at 9.00 and will include a tour of parliament.
The course has a particular focus on:
- The role and composition of Select Committees
- How to engage with Select Committees
- A guide to presenting evidence and how to fulfil committee expectations.
- An introduction into APPGs
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for anyone who works in an environment which is related to Parliament and wishes to develop their knowledge of select committees.
It is well suited to public servants, academics and those from the voluntary and private sectors who are interested in this particular aspect of the parliamentary process.
